Ταμείο Ενεργών Πολιτών – Active Citizens Fund Cyprus 2014-2021

 

H κοινοπραξία που αποτελείται από το NGO Support Centre (Κέντρο Στήριξης Μη Κυβερνητικών Οργανισμών) και την GrantXpert έχει επιλεγεί ως Διαχειριστής του Προγράμματος έπειτα από μια ανοιχτή και ανταγωνιστική διαδικασία προσφορών, και θα έχει την ευθύνη για την δημιουργία και εφαρμογή του Προγράμματος στην Κύπρο.  Ο στόχος του Προγράμματος είναι η «Ενίσχυση της κοινωνίας των πολιτών, της ενεργής πολιτότητας (civil society and active citizenship) και η ενδυνάμωση ευάλωτων ομάδων» και σκοπεύει να συμβάλλει στη μείωση των οικονομικών και κοινωνικών ανισοτήτων στην Κύπρο. 

Το Πρόγραμμα θα αποτελείται από μία (δημόσια διαθέσιμη) Ανοικτή Πρόσκληση, συνολικού προϋπολογισμού 1.200.000 ευρώ, και απευθύνεται σε μη κερδοσκοπικούς, μη κυβερνητικούς οργανισμούς στην Κύπρο που δραστηριοποιούνται γύρω από τις θεματικές που στηρίζονται από το Active Citizens Fund. Οι βασικοί Τομείς Στήριξης του προγράμματος είναι δύο: α) Δημοκρατία και Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα και β) Κοινωνική δικαιοσύνη και ένταξη των ευάλωτων ομάδων. 

Το Πρόγραμμα του Ταμείου Ενεργών Πολιτών της Κύπρου θα δώσει ιδιαίτερη έμφαση σε δράσεις που συμπεριλαμβάνουν τους νέους και θα ενισχύσει δράσεις που προωθούν τη δικοινοτική συνεργασία και τον διαπολιτισμικό διάλογο. Τέλος, το Πρόγραμμα στοχεύει στην ενδυνάμωση των διμερών σχέσεων μεταξύ των Κυπριακών ΜΚΟ και των αντίστοιχων οργανισμών που εδρεύουν στην Ισλανδία, το Λιχτενστάιν και τη Νορβηγία.     

 

The European Economic Area and Norway Grants, formed using contributions from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, are supporting Cypriot Civil Society through funding the “Active Citizens Fund 2014-2021” project.

The joint venture between the NGO Support Centre and GrantXpert Consulting has been selected as the Fund Operators of the project following a competitive public bidding process, and will be responsible for the creation and coordination of the project in Cyprus.

The project aims to “Support civil society and active citizenship, and empower vulnerable groups”, and aspires to contribute to the reduction of economic and social inequality in Cyprus.

The Project will include a public Open Invitation, with a budget of 1.2 million euros, and will be aimed at non-profit, non-governmental organisations in Cyprus which focus on the Active Citizens Fund main pillars. The project’s main Areas of Support are: a) Democracy and Human Rights, and b) Social Justice and Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups.

The Cypriot “Active Citizens Fund” project will place special emphasis on youth-oriented activities and support bi-communal cooperation and inter-cultural dialogue. Furthermore, the Fund aims to encourage closer cooperation between NGOs in Cyprus, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway.
