Digital Media Competitions and Events

The project Digital Media Competitions and Events was implemented in 2010-2011 and was funded by the European Commission. 

 

Aims and purposes
The fundamental objective of the project was to promote the Commission’s priorities from November 2010 to November 2011 across the younger demographic groups in Cyprus. For example, the project disseminated the positives of Volunteerism, as 2011 was the European Year of Volunteerism; raised awareness about climate change; and, supported the principles of driving economic recovery in respect to the youth.

 

Main activities and products
The main activities of the project included a competition on tackling climate change and a social networking event ‘the Buffer zone bloggers’.
