Yiannis Trimithiotis
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - PROGRAMME DIRECTORYiannis Trimithiotis joined the NGO Support Centre as Senior Project Manager – Programme Director in February 2026. He holds an MA in Social and Political Thought from the University of Warwick and a BA in Political Science, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of Cyprus.
A senior EU and international grants management professional with over 15 years of experience, Yiannis has worked across Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, H2020, and EEA/Norway Grants, across academic research, civil society, public health, and cultural sectors. He is a certified trainer (HRDA Level 5) and MEL practitioner (INTRAC), and previously served as Senior Project Manager in the Fund Operator team for the Active Citizens Fund Cyprus under the EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021.
At the NGO Support Centre, Yiannis will act as the Programme Director for the Civil Society Fund, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2021–2028 and implemented in consortium with GrantXpert Consulting.
Claudia Konyalian
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERClaudia joined the NGO Support Centre team as Senior Project Manager in April 2026. She is an alumna of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management at the Fondation Marcel Hicter (Brussels). Her professional experience spans over 25 years in various communications and project management roles, including in the arts, culture and civil society, as well as 12 years with international organisations, specifically in the Cypriot peacebuilding context and with UNHCR telling human stories and campaigning for social inclusion of refugees in Cyprus. At the NGO SC, Claudia oversees the implementation of the Centre’s regranting programmes in thematic areas that include, strengthening the capacity and resilience of civil society, enhancing intercultural dialogue and defending human rights. She is also the NGO SC’s focal point for developing new partnerships, projects and synergies, across Cyprus and internationally.
Charoula Matthaiou
PROJECT MANAGERCharoula Matthaiou joined the NGO Support Centre team as Project Manager in October 2023. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Cyprus and a MSc in Developmental Psychopathology from Durham University. Charoula has previously worked in research and project implementation in the academic and civil society sector and was responsible for the implementation of a number of EU and national projects in the fields of health, education, human rights, and active citizenship. At the NGO Support Centre, Charoula is responsible for project implementation and administration for a selection of projects the NGO SC implements, for the effective management and monitoring of third-party projects funded, the Centre’s advocacy work, and overall coordination of civil society support, including capacity-building activities.
Stelios Tzivas
PROJECT & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERStelios Tzivas joined the NGO Support Centre as Project & Communications Officer in February 2025. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from Kingston University and an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex.
A visual artist and community development practitioner, Stelios has over 10 years of experience in NGOs, cultural institutions, and community-based projects. He founded Allospos, a community of artists using art for empowerment and development, and co-founded amaya_3400, an artistic collective leading award-winning street art projects on social and environmental issues. He has also designed and led creative workshops for rural youth, immigrants, and youth with mental health challenges.
At the NGO Support Centre, he coordinates projects, manages communications, and ensures the effective dissemination of project results.
