Athina Kyriakou
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERAthina holds a BA in Philosophy and Byzantine & Modern Greek Studies from the University of Cyprus and an MBA from the Open University of Cyprus. She joined the NGO Support Center in August 2024 as a Senior Project Manager. Prior to this, Athina worked as a Project Officer at IMH, where she managed European and local projects. She also spent eight years as a Project Officer at Anazitisi Cultural Center, implementing Erasmus projects such as Youth in Action and Grundtvig Partnerships. At the NGO Support Center, Athina is responsible for the coordination and implementation of projects focused on intercultural dialogue, active citizenship, and capacity building. Additionally, she oversees the organization’s support to civil society, handles the coordination of events, and monitors third-party projects funded by NGO Support Center.
Charoula Matthaiou
PROJECT MANAGERCharoula Matthaiou joined the NGO Support Centre team as Project Manager in October 2023. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Cyprus and a MSc in Developmental Psychopathology from Durham University. Charoula has previously worked in research and project implementation in the academic and civil society sector and was responsible for the implementation of a number of EU and national projects in the fields of health, education, human rights, and active citizenship. At the NGO Support Centre, Charoula is responsible for project implementation and administration for a selection of projects the NGO SC implements, for the effective management and monitoring of third-party projects funded, the Centre’s advocacy work, and overall coordination of civil society support, including capacity-building activities.
Stelios Tzivas
PROJECT & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERStelios Tzivas joined the NGO Support Centre as Project & Communications Officer in February 2025. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from Kingston University and an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex.
A visual artist and community development practitioner, Stelios has over 10 years of experience in NGOs, cultural institutions, and community-based projects. He founded Allospos, a community of artists using art for empowerment and development, and co-founded amaya_3400, an artistic collective leading award-winning street art projects on social and environmental issues. He has also designed and led creative workshops for rural youth, immigrants, and youth with mental health challenges.
At the NGO Support Centre, he coordinates projects, manages communications, and ensures the effective dissemination of project results.
