The “Global Education Alliances and Resources in Cyprus” (GEAR Cyprus) project aims to enhance the competences and capacities of educators and trainers, in formal and non-formal settings, to create engaging learning spaces and opportunities around Global Education with different learners. The project also seeks to raise the awareness of policy makers in Cyprus around the significant role of Global Education in being the global dimension of education for citizenship and the fundamental element for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal is to raise the awareness of educators, policymakers and, subsequently the wider public, around the multiple issues we and our planet are faced with and to involve them in actions aimed at social justice, advocating for democratic principles and peace, and promoting sustainable development.
