Ένα εγχειρίδιο για εκπαιδευτές και εκπαιδευτικούς στην Κύπρο που έχει δημιουργηθεί από το Κέντρο Στήριξης Μη Κυβερνητικών Οργανισμών στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος GEAR Cyprus. Το εγχειρίδιο έχει σκοπό να προσφέρει σε εκπαιδευτές και εκπαιδευτικούς έναν σύντομο, απλό και εύχρηστο οδηγό προς την αξιοποίηση της Παγκόσμιας Εκπαίδευσης και την εφαρμογή της σε διάφορα μαθησιακά περιβάλλοντα.

 

Learn! Improve! Transform! – Capacity Building Toolkit for CSOs (2022)

This toolkit has been developed by the Cyprus Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, following the implementation of a series of workshops that aimed to support the building of capacities for staff, volunteers, and members of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The toolkit comprises of the methodology, aims and main activities of six workshops covering the following areas: communication, leadership, positive peace, crisis management, advocacy and CSO management. 

 

How to talk about Civic Space: A guide for progressive Civil Society facing smear campaigns (2021)

A guide published by the Civil Liberties Union for Europe for CSOs promoting human rights and other progressive causes, particularly when facing smear campaigns and restrictions on their activities.

 

Assessment of the Changes of the Civil Society Environment in the northern part of Cyprus since 2016 (2020)

This report, produced by European Center For Not-For-Profit Law within the context of the Civic Space Project, is a follow-up to the 2016 assessment and gives an overview of what has changed in the registration and operation, the financial environment and the cooperation of CSOs with local bodies.

 

EU Delegations unwrapped: A practical guide for CSO engagement with EUDs (2019)

A handbook published by CONCORD to guide CSO representatives on how to effectively engage with EU Delegations.

 

Developments for NGOs (2018)

A guide produced by the Cyprus NGO Initiative and Civil Society Advocates, outlining the developments in setting up and managing an NGO according to the new Law, ‘About associations and foundations and other related issues Law of 2017, L. 104(I)/2017’ .

Development Education in Theory and Practice (2016)
This publication provides a new teaching resource for academics and educators active in the field of development education and related disciplines. It covers twelve themes, each chapter includes both a conceptual overview and teaching methodology section. The conceptual overview introduces the topics, explores the key concepts, theories and current debats. The teaching methodology section offers educators a set of tools that could help them introduce the topic in both formal and non-formal settings.

 

The European Union & Youth 
This manual seeks to provide young people in Cyprus with basic but vital information in regards to the European Union. It gathers information from various sources and EU institutions and it constitutes a simplified guide for local youth.
It lays outs the values on which the EU was formed and it refers to key moments in the history of the EU. Also, it highlights the ways a citizens can actively participate in the decision-making process at the EU level to influence EU policies. Most importantly, it presents the opportunities young people have in terms of scholarships, trainings, employment, etc.
The manual was produced by the NGO Support Centre as part of its project “YEAH – Young Europeans at Heart” in 2014.

So you want to set up an NGO?
This manual outlines the requirements that need to be completed in order to officially register an organisation in Cyprus. It aims at providing some basic information in order to gain a deeper understanding of what the term ‘Non-Governmental Organisation’ actually means and help clarify the registration process step by step.
The manual was published by the NGO Support Centre in 2013 and it was an initiative of the project “ENGAGE – Do Your Part for Peace”.

Compasito – Manual on human rights education for children (in Greek)
Compasito, a publication of the Council of Europe, is a starting point for educators, teachers and trainers who are ready to deal with human rights education with children of 7-13 years. The book familiarizes the reader with the key concepts of human rights and children’s rights, and provides substantial theoretical background to 13 key human rights issues, such as democracy, citizenship, gender equality, environment, media, poverty, and violence.
The 42 practical activities serve to engage and motivate children to recognise human rights issues in their own environment. They help children to develop critical thinking, responsibility and a sense of justice, and help them learn how to take action to contribute to the betterment of their school or community. The manual also gives practical tips on how it can be used in various formal and non-formal educational settings.
The NGO Support Centre, in co-operation with “Hope for Children – UNHCR Policy Centre”, translated and published the manual in Greek in 2012.

The manual focuses on the topics of diversity and volunteerism and offers ideas on ways to get involved.
This booklet was produced by the NGO Support Centre and the Cyprus Turkish Association of Managers within the scope of the project “Celebrating Diversity and Volunteerism across Cyprus”, in 2011.
