14 Jul Closing Event of EEA Grants NGO Fund programme
The NGO Support Centre participated in a panel discussion entitled ‘Awareness raising and mobilising community interest’, on 21 June 2016 as part of the closing event of the EEA Grants NGO Fund programme for the period 2009-2014. The event also included another panel discussion on ‘Challenges and lessons learned’ and an exhibition showcasing the work of NGOs that received funding from the EEA Grants.
The panel, which included other representatives from NGOs, focused on the methods of communication we used during our projects and how effective those were in reaching out to our target audiences. During the panel and the cocktail reception afterwards we had the opportunity to further discuss our project ‘Cypriot Civil Society Mapping & Capacity Building Project’and network with other EEA Grantees, representatives from the EEA Grants and the Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and Development in Cyprus.
