Communication Workshop for ALF Cyprus Network Members!

The Cyprus Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation is hosting a Communication Workshop for network members only! 

The workshop aims at giving members a good understanding of effective communication and possible tools. It will introduce you to the value of becoming proactive in telling your story and communicating achievements, and help you understand the importance of grabbing attention. The workshop will serve as a refresher for those already doing communication, while also building capacity for others. 

The workshop will be facilitated by the communication consultant Myria Antoniadou. (See Profile below)

The working language of the workshop is English. 

Date: Saturday, 31st of October9:00 – 16:00

Location: Home for Cooperation, 28 Marcou Dracou Street, Nicosia, 1102, Cyprus

Attendance to the workshop is FREE for all current members of the Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network! 

Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided to participants.

COVID-19 Measures 

Participants must inform the ALF Cyprus Network if they are tested positive for COVID-19 or if they are in close contact with an individual tested positive, 14 days after the workshop and within 24 hours of knowing. 

Hand sanitisers will be available at the entrance of the room and all participants are asked to use them upon entering and before leaving the room. 

Trainer: Myria Antoniadou

 

Myria Antoniadou is an experienced, Cyprus-based, international communication consultant and trainer, and a former print, TV and radio journalist. She specialises in training in communication and writing, as well as developing practical communication strategies and tools, including for the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF).

Myria has travelled to over 17 countries, in the Middle East, East Europe and Europe, mainly training EU funded projects, whereas in the past few years she has been training youth from some 40 countries as part of the Anna Lindh Foundation “Young Mediterranean Voices” programme. She has worked extensively with civil society/NGOs as part of training workshops organised in cooperation with DG NEAR, EuropeAid and EU Delegations and is therefore fully aware of the challenges they face but also their potential to reach out with human – citizen interest stories.

Using her journalism background Myria assists organisations and projects understand the importance of drawing out and telling their stories in a way that grabs attention. Her approach is experience based, practical and results-oriented.
