17 Feb Public Event on Sustainable Development Goals and Education
The NGO Support Centre, through the project UNIDEV, is organising on Monday, 22nd February 2016, at 17:30 a public event on Sustainable Development Goals and Education.
The event will take place at the, Filoxenia Conference Centre in Nicosia and will involve a panel discussion featuring as speakers, Rilli Lappalainen, Secretary General,Finnish NGDO Platform to the EU, Kristiana Tzika, Deputy Head, Department of Development Cooperation, Humanitarian Assistance and International Financial Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aravella Zachariou, Coordinator of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Cyprus National focal Point for ESD, Pedagogical Institute.
The panel discussion will focus on the newly adopted Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals and will concentrate on the topic of Education. Additionally, a side event will take place for the launch of UNIDEV’s latest publication ‘’Development Education in Theory and Practice’’ and for local NGOs to disseminate relevant information.
